AH! I fear summer is slipping away faster than I’d like.
Every year, August arrives, Starbucks announces the release of their Pumpkin Spice Latte, stores begin pushing autumn decor, and all of a sudden, you blink and trees are bare, it’s cold, and you can’t get go a day without hearing two words: ‘soup season’.
All that’s to say, I’d like to savor every moment with temperatures above 85ºF by grilling, eating tropical fruits, and most importantly, avoiding soup while I can - which is exactly what this week’s menu entails.
(I’ll embrace fall when I’m ready for summer to be over, I promise)
