Finding Comfort in Asian Cuisine
featuring Aromatic-Fried Fish, Creamy Sesame Noodles, and Chicken Adobo (Sa Gata)
The goal of this week was simple:
Create a menu featuring a collection of Asian dishes that can be described as “comfort meals.”
And while “comfort” can mean something different to everyone, I find that common prerequisites in the descriptor are the following…
Served warm
Inclusive of noodles or rice
Easy to enjoy in a shallow bowl (while sitting on the couch)
Reminiscent of (positive) childhood memories
Which is exactly what these dishes entail.
