This week we’re diving into the start of summer, through food. We’re cooking bright, colorful, and zesty dishes that scream comfort; however, not comfort in the winter-ey cozied-up-under-a-blanket-indoors-binge-watching-all-8-Harry-Potter-movies-while-it-rains-outside kind of comfort (I’ve certainly never done something like that…).
Instead, we’re cooking dishes that scream summer comfort. Specifically, the same type of comfort you feel freshly showered and in your loungewear after a long day playing under the warm sun at the lake.

Suffice to say, I’m more than excited for you to cook this menu (with access to new updates). Let’s dive right into it.
This Week’s Grocery Total: $55.21
While this week’s grocery haul was slightly over my weekly goal of $50, there were a few things I ended up taking off.
While the produce section looks like a lot (quantity-wise), it’ll be mostly inexpensive since most ingredients are either in season (like corn) or you’re not buying much of an individual ingredient (like zucchini). You’ll find that the cheese is where most of your money will go. Thankfully, we only used half of our 10-oz block of Cotija 2 weeks ago so you should have the remaining block to use this week.
We’ll be seeing many repeat ingredients from previous weeks, so you might likely have some things, like barley, sitting around in your pantry waiting to be used.
We’ll also have some Parmigiano Reggiano leftover at the end of this week but don’t worry, it’ll be utilized again next week for our ✨Restaurant Dropout Holiday Special✨.
