One of my biggest fears is becoming stale. That is a halt in evolving, learning, trying new things, and growing.
And something I’ve learned while being a part of the digital world, as someone who creates and consumes, is that it’s extremely easy to get lost in the sauce.
What I mean by that is while it’s admirable (and often rewarded by social media platforms) to post and share daily, it’s easy to get wrapped up in the fast-paced rhythm and lose sight of the overall quality of what it is that you’re producing (speaking from experience).
That said, I wanted to introduce ✨the Ninth Edition✨. Think of it as the week where we take a step back and reflect.
After 8 menus (and weeks) of creating, developing, and cooking new dishes, I wanted to insert 1 week where we could reflect on previous menus and make adjustments (like maybe changing the approach to crispy rice cakes), transform old dishes (a flatbread turned wrap), or maybe even celebrate those that were pretty dang good (the bruschetta chicken, one of my personal favorites!!!).
We’ll do this every 9 weeks, so if you have a favorite dish (or week), let me know!
One of our Ninth Editions might be “5 of Restaurant Dropout’s most popular dishes” or perhaps “adjusting dishes from the past”. This Ninth Edition, however, we’re revisiting Restaurant Dropout’s first week: Classics ✨With a Twist✨ because after popular demand, it’s time to write those full-meal recipes.

* - An ingredient or recipe we’re prepping ahead of time
Compared to the previous time we shopped this list, it’ll be slightly less expensive (by $5 to $6), given I removed a few ingredients (like shallots, tomatoes, white beans, etc).
I also included the recent Restaurant Dropout updates, like an Essentials & Time Savers section (for Paid Subscribers) and our newest guide/key for what will be used on what day.
